Jared Shank, who has degrees in geography and earth and environmental science from Wright State, searches underground for the past as a member of a metal detecting club.

For the past nine years the Dayton and Miami Valley Better Business Bureau has been on a business boom and the two people lighting the wick are Wright State alumni.

The celebration culminates with a special Homecoming Oct. 1, featuring multiple affinity reunions, including one for the university's founding classes.
