College Scholarships

The COLA dean's office offers two additional scholarships—the COLA Leadership Scholarship and the COLA Study Abroad Scholarship. These scholarships are reviewed by the College of Liberal Arts Scholarship Committee. For each of these scholarships, students are highly encouraged to complete their FAFSA each year.

  • The Leadership Scholarship recognizes COLA students who have shown and are engaged in leadership activities.
  • The Study Abroad Scholarship is for COLA students planning to study abroad in the following academic year. Students will be notified if they have received the Study Abroad Scholarship prior to their trip, but may not be awarded the scholarship until they have completed their study abroad program.

COLA students will be notified via email when the scholarship applications are available.  Both scholarship applications are due by February 7 of each year unless otherwise indicated.

Students may apply to both the Leadership and Study Abroad Scholarships, but may not receive both in the same academic year.

IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that these scholarship applications require letters of recommendation so please allow enough time to ask your faculty, work supervisors, club advisors, etc. to write you that very important letter!

For additional questions about the COLA Leadership and Study Abroad Scholarships, please call 937-775-2225 or email liberalarts@wright.edu.
