Ryan Oates

Honors student, English major ambassador, and student organization president, Ryan Oates has been accepted into several prestigious graduate programs. Throughout his undergraduate career he has focused on supporting his classmates in their learning as well as excelling in his studies. As WSU-NCTE president, he recently co-hosted an LGBTQ ally training, organized meetings and sub-committees working on English and education topics and establishing a virtual network for the group. Among his many achievements as a future educator, he built a literacy garden in one of the Dayton Public schools.
