Overview & Dates

Drawing From Perception, Invention, and Memory
January 16—March 8, 2024

Drawing from Perception, Invention, and Memory is a national juried drawing exhibition highlighting the finest contemporary examples of drawing.

The works for the exhibition will be selected by nationally renowned artist and painter Eve Mansdorf, who received her MFA in Painting from Brooklyn College and her BA in Psychology from Cornell University. She teaches Painting at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.  She is known for large paintings of figures in interiors, still lives, and on-site paintings that draw from the landscape and neighborhood in Bloomington where she lives.

Eve Mansdorf paints perceptually, and often her work is done close to home even when her "home" relocates to other countries and parts of the US. She has shown her work at First Street Gallery and Gallery Henoch in New York and at various venues in the Midwest.

About the Robert and Elaine Stein Galleries: The Robert and Elaine Stein Galleries function as an educational resource for Wright State University and the greater Dayton metropolitan area.
