Susan Schultheis is the epitome of hard work, honesty, confidence, and humility. In her role for many years as administrative assistant in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, she has proven to be dependable, fair, and self-driven. Faculty, staff, and students inside and outside the department have noted Ms. Schultheis’s exemplary work standard. Her consistency in performance is unparalleled. She helps new students in the department feel welcome and encourages others to participate in service, both at the university and in their communities. International students in particular have paid glowing tribute to Ms. Schultheis for providing clarity to their programs. As she interacts with many international students and faculty, she makes it a priority to learn more about other cultures to promote intercultural and international understanding. She is adept at fostering effective communication and cultural awareness, and she is a true team player, recognizing that, through collaboration, the goals and objectives of an organization can be achieved most successfully.
