The French Pi Delta Phi Ceremony!

On Friday February 20th, fourteen students were nominated for lifetime membership in the Wright State chapter of Pi Delta Phi, la Société d’Honneur Française. They met the strict scholastic requirements for membership, having a minimum GPA of 3.25 in their French courses and a minimum 3.0 overall GPA.
The Theta Epsilon chapter of Pi Delta Phi, the national French honor society founded in 1906, upholds the Society's commitment to recognizing outstanding scholarship in the French language and literature and to promoting continued interest in the contributions of France and la Francophonie to world culture. Joining this prestigious organization is a sign of true “francophilie” and academic achievement.

We celebrated their accomplishment with their family and friends. Each initiate shared a favorite French or Francophone object with the group and explained briefly first in French, then in English, what this object meant and symbolized to them.

Congratulations to all of them! Bravo!
