Gary Gall enrolled at Wright State University after spending four years in the U.S. Army in the late nineteen sixties. Two of those years were spent in Vietnam. The lessons he learned during his military service were ones he would carry with him throughout his life. In 1973, Gary graduated from Wright State with a degree in Political Science. Following his time at Wright State, he attended and completed Law School at the University of Toledo. He then began a successful career in the practice of law, with the majority of his years spent as a Prosecuting Attorney in both Auglaize and Greene County, retiring in 2013.
Gary is very active in retirement. An avid bicyclist, this 70 year old logged over 4300 biking miles during the past two years, mainly enjoying the Greene and Montgomery County biking trails. He and his wife, Kathy, also enjoy the theatre and arts and have endowed a scholarship for Wright State students majoring in theatre or dance.
Gary recognizes that college presents more of a financial challenge today than it did for him in the 1970's. He appreciates the life skills acquired and the direction that Wright State professors provided him and believes that his experiences at Wright State were major influences on his life. As a way to give back, he serves on the College of Liberal Arts Dean's Leadership Board in hopes that his service there will lead to a similar experience for other students.
