Aaron Sorrell

Aaron Sorrell earned his master's degree of City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University and his bachelor's degree in Urban Studies from Wright State.  He is the owner and principal of Community Planning Insights, a small firm located in Dayton that focuses on community and neighborhood planning, housing policy, community engagement, and comprehensive planning for communities of all sizes.  Prior to founding Community Planning Insights, Aaron served as the Planning and Community Development Director for the City of Dayton.  During his tenure, he undertook and oversaw numerous neighborhood and community planning efforts including housing studies, comprehensive neighborhood plans, demographic and socio-economic analyses and zoning code updates.  Aaron has over 17 years of experience in the planning and community development field, primarily focused on community and neighborhood development policy and implementation.  He is a certified planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and a certified Economic Development Professional by the National Development Council.
