Master of Humanities, Women's Studies Concentration

Students may design a Master of Humanities degree with an emphasis in Women’s Studies. The range of study within the program is intentionally wide. Students may choose to study the role of women or gender in one or a combination of the traditional humanities disciplines, such as music, art, history, philosophy, classics, or literature. Students concentrating in Women’s Studies must fulfill the general requirements of the Humanities degree. In addition, a minimum of 12 of the required 28 elective hours must be courses approved by the Women’s Studies Program and the final thesis or project should have a women’s studies focus.

Core Course (WMS 7000 or equivalent): 3
Approved Women's Studies Electives* (3 courses): 9

*Electives must be from at least two different departments or disciplinary concentrations and include at least one course from the category of International or Multicultural Studies.
