MPA students go "all in"

Photo of MPA students

MPA students were excited to attend the Ohio City Managers Association (OCMA) 2016 Winter Conference. As up-and-coming public sector leaders, our MPA students gained insight into emerging local government trends by attending panels and presentations featuring top administrators from Ohio and beyond. The theme of the conference, and keynote speaker Gian Paul Gonzalez’s address, was “All In.” In poker, when someone goes all in, there is no going back. A public servant who goes “all in” leaves nothing on the table and draws upon the totality of his/her effort and experiences to produce positive outcomes in the communities. Our MPA graduates are committed to being “all in” as we embark on our careers in public service, whether in government or in the non-profit sector.

Shown in the photo are Moses Kamanzi, MPA GA; Megan Holly, MPA GA; keynote speaker Gian Paul Gonzalez; Max McConnell, MPA GA; Olivia Morris, CUPA GRA.
