I did a significant amount of due diligence prior to selecting WSU’s program. I chose Wright State because of the program’s emphasis on strengthening our local community by providing practical, hands-on, experiential learning opportunities. I came to the program as a nonprofit practitioner with a career goal to achieve a leadership position to make and implement policies that affect the underserved. WSU’s M.P.A. program provided me with an invaluable understanding of public administration and policymaking. Within one year of graduation, I moved to being the leader of a local nonprofit agency. I credit this success to hard work, and the attainment of an M.P.A. degree from Wright State. The opportunity to earn a certification in nonprofit leadership while earning a graduate degree was the icing on the cake! Not only was I able to receive a top-notch degree, I was also able to focus my academic emphasis in the nonprofit field!
