My research project, entitled “Stakeholders’ Perceptions of the Effectiveness of ESL Programs on Students’ Academic Achievement” is designed to investigate the perceptions of parents regarding the effectiveness of the English as Second Language (ESL) program in their children’s academic achievement. The study also examined whether the ESL program played a role in keeping the students enrolled in the school or had them drop out. The research results found that parents had positive perceptions of the effectiveness of the ESL program and stated that the program helped to keep their children enrolled in school.
