Lisa Parker, A.A.S., B.A., M.A., is a Community Linkage Social Worker for The Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services. In this role, she links adult male and female offenders with severe and persistent mental illness to community mental health services upon release from three Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correctional facilities. Lisa’s master’s project examined the rehabilitation processes of the US and Norwegian prison systems in the context of Maslow's humanistic needs to provide insights on which practices lead to successful societal reintegration of inmates upon
