Allison McFaddin, B.A, '17 M.A. Applied Behavioral Science

Master’s Thesis: Pregnant and Stressed: Infant Mortality, Police Contact, and Stress in Dayton, Ohio

Allison McFaddin, B.A., M.A. graduated from Wright State University with her bachelor’s degree in Art History in 2013. However, she found herself drawn to crime analysis and research. To pursue this goal, she returned to school and has completed the Masters in Applied Behavioral Science program. During the program, Allison participated in an in-depth internship with the Dayton Policy Department where she completed critical research, data gathering, and analysis, and reported on the frequency of childhood mortality and subsequent contributing factors in the Dayton area. This experience influenced her Applied Behavioral Sciences project entitled: Pregnant and Stressed: Infant Mortality, Police Contact, and Stress in Dayton, Ohio. Allison is often still requested as a consultant by the Dayton Police Department to discuss her findings. Her future plans include continued work in her area of study and planning for her upcoming fall wedding. We congratulate and celebrate Allison’s accomplishments.
