Arabic Day!

The Arabic Day took place on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 1:00pm-2:30 pm at the Rockafield Alumni Center. Students from the Modern Languages Arabic classes and other Arabic students on campus came to celebrate the language and the culture of the Middle East.

Students participated in a flag parade of 11 Arabic countries, naming each represented country and guessing its neighboring countries. Students also did a play based on the Folklore of "Juha" and answered questions related to the play.

Other creative activities included henna, where students learned how to apply henna and decorate their hands, calligraphy, and Debkah, a traditional dance.

Students also learned how to make "Kunafa", Arabic coffee and tea while enjoying delicious treats.
