Spanish club cooking class

The Club de Español gathered at Profesora Cipriano’s house to make authentic dishes from México y España.  Profesoras Astudillo and Cipriano guided the students as they prepared the foods for dinner.  The students made chicken enchiladas, beef empanadas, rice with vegetables, ham and cheese in puff pastry, and a Spanish tortilla, which is a potato and onion omelet.  The students also tried Manchego cheese, quince paste, turrón (a type of nougat typical during the Christmas holiday) and a variety of cookies from Spain and México.  The students worked very hard cooking and speaking Spanish!  ¡Feliz Navidad!
