Juegos de cartas with the Spanish Club!

This semester, Francisco Marques-Vuelta taught members of the Spanish Club to play la escoba, a Spanish card game. Students were provided with the rules in both Spanish and English and formed groups of 4 to play. One lucky student even left the event with her very own deck of Spanish playing cards!

During a previous card game activity students learned burro, a card game typically played with children. Students have enjoyed learning to play and the Spanish Club hopes to repeat the event to play la escoba again and to learn additional card games.
