Catherine Keener Abner has enjoyed a career as a band director, choir director, and professional musician for the past 23 years in the Greater Dayton Area. She serves as the Director of Instrumental and Choral Activities at Valley View Local Schools in Germantown, Ohio, and is active as a professional conductor and flutist, serving as the Director of the Kettering Civic Band, the Choir Director for Concordia Lutheran Church and the Principal Flutist with the Springboro Wind Symphony.
