Concentration

Prior to Starting Summer Fall Spring
Undergraduate TESOL Concentration

Meet with TESOL Advisor to:

  1. Review program of study
  2. Plan semester for TESOL internship

Certificate

Portfolio cannot be submitted in the summer
  • Start program
  • Review requirements for TESOL portfolio with advisor
  • Submit portfolio last week of the semester on Wednesday before 4:00 p.m.

Endorsement

Prior to Starting Summer Fall Spring
Graduate Endorsement

Meet with TESOL Advisor to:

  1. Review program of study
  2. Plan semester for TESOL Practicum
Portfolio cannot be submitted in the summer
  • Start program
  • Review requirements for TESOL portfolio with advisor
Submit portfolio last week of the semester on Wednesday before 4:00 p.m.

  • Revised seminar paper required
  • Submitted together
Meet with TESOL Advisor to Review program of study Portfolio cannot be submitted in the summer

1st Year

  • Start Program

1st Year

  • Plan semester in 2nd year for TESOL Internship

2nd Year

  • Meet with TESOL advisor to review portfolio requirement and assign advisor for revised seminar paper
  • Meet with revised seminar paper advisor before the 10th week
  • Fill out and submit Advising Report Form before the end of the semester

2nd Year

  • Submit TESOL portfolio with the revised seminar paper in the 9th week of the semester
  • Include signed Program of Study form required for the Culminating Project
  • Include copy of Advising Report Form required for the Culminating Project

Apply for the graduate school's Transitional Status in spring of junior year.

Meet with TESOL Advisor to Review program of study

Senior/First Graduate Year

  • Begin Program

 

 

Senior/First Graduate Year

  • Submit proof of BA degree to graduate school at end of term
  • Apply for admission to the graduate school for the MA TESOL program

2nd Year

  • Meet with TESOL advisor to review portfolio requirement and assign advisor for revised seminar paper
  • Meet with revised seminar paper advisor before the 10th week
  • Fill out and submit Advising Report Form before the end of the semester
