Robert and Elaine Stein Galleries

Warhol Foundation Donation

The Robert & Elaine Stein Galleries announces its newest gift from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.

The Robert & Elaine Stein Galleries is the recipient of seven (7) silkscreen prints from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. The Galleries received over 150 photographs from the Foundation in 2008, as part of the Andy Warhol Photographic Legacy Program.

"The prints are considered 'out of edition,'" explains Tess Cortés, Gallery Coordinator. "This means they are not intended to be sold on the market as part of a limited edition, and instead have been designated for research and educational purposes."

The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts has been dispersing its collection over the last several years and will solely focus on being a grant-making organization.

The large, colorful prints are not framed, and are unable to be displayed until funds are raised for appropriate archival framing. In the meanwhile, like most works from the permanent collection, the prints are available to be viewed upon request.

For more information, contact Tess Cortés, 775-2978.
