SOC 2200 - Social Problems

Analyzes how social problems are identified, legitimated and addressed in contemporary society. Uses major theoretical perspectives to evaluate and analyze social problems, develops proposals for addressing them, and compares and contrasts social problems in cross-cultural context. Considers the impact of social structure on generating social problems and the role of social movements in constructing and resolving social problems.
