Preston Eberlyn
Preston J. Eberlyn, a second year MPA and MAICP student, is set to play Perchik (the student) in Dayton Playhouse’s production of Fiddler on the Roof. The performance will be at the Dayton Masonic Center from October 28-30, and it is being performed with the Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra. Major Wendy Stiver is a member of Wright State University’s Crime and Justice Studies (CJS) Advisory Committee. During the September 2016 CJS Advisory Committee meeting, Major Stiver provided input about the goals of the Dayton Police Department. The Chinese Club had a great turn out at the first event of the year, a Chinese Game party. On September 23, 2016, the Chinese language and international students met in the Student Union Atrium to play some popular games, such as  Go, Chinese Checker and Ping Pong. Students also teamed up to play bilingual trivia , answering questions in both English and Chinese. Not everyone who came could speak Chinese, but everyone left having learned a little about Chinese culture!

The ABS Orientation for new and incoming students took place on August 23, 2016 and student’s part-took in a half day graduate school and ABS orientation. Students meet their new cohort, were introduced to peer mentors and reviewed program expectations and meet ABS faculty. What a great group!

The annual French Immersion weekend took place again on September 16-18, 2016 in Mohican State Park. In attendance were twenty five French professors and French students from different Ohio universities and high schools. They enjoyed the gorgeous park where they hiked, relaxed and had delicious French food and drinks.
